grabbing!

Today Claire was playing with her favorite toy. She was able to grab and hold onto the dangling toy. The bad part of this is that now she pulls all of the toys out of her reach!!!

This is Auntie Jenny posting. I got this new Flip Video recorder for graduation (Thanks Debba!) and 'One took this video of Claire Bear. She is so dang cute.

2 Diva's

Claire had her 2 month check up on Friday. She now weighs 9 pounds 11 ounces and is 23 1/2 inches long. She is in the 20% for weight and 80th for height. So I have a tall skinny little girl. She had to have 3 shots so she hasn't been the happiest but she should feel better tomorrow!
My Mom and Staci Jo came to my house on Friday afternoon to help me out a little. Staci was holding the baby and fell asleep on the couch. I took this cute picture of the 2 diva girls.
I talked to the Dr. about her sleeping habits and he said that during the day if I need to I can hold her while she is sleeping. He said that she is still in the fussy stage which should be dwindling down by 3 months. I am going to keep trying to get her to sleep on her own so I will keep you updated.

HELP!!!

My sweet little girl is not sleeping very much unless I hold her. I had her on a pretty good routine but that went to hell over spring break. I know I need to start the routine over, which I have started today. If any of you mom's out there have any tips on getting your wee one to go to sleep easier please please tell me!!

This is what I do right now.

Wrap her up in her blanket
turn on ocean cd
rock her
try putting her down
she wakes up crying and I start over.

Sometimes I have to take her in the bathroom and turn the tub on. That is the only way I can get her to calm down, but then I take her back into her room and rock her.
