We are working hard on teaching Claire her colors. I put her to the test on video last night and this is what happened!

Dinner time fun!

Claire is finally feeling better from her sore throat, as you can tell by this video. She had a huge snack about an hour before dinner. Here she is messing with her milk. Gotta love the toddlers that want to do everything themselves.

Who Needs Toys?

Who needs toys when they come to Grandma's house? Claire enjoyed playing in Yogi's kennel but only if Yogi would join her.

18 months

My baby girl is 18 months old today. I can not believe it has been 18 months. She is one in charge little girl. She is 22 pounds 9 ounces and 33 inches long. She is tall and skinny according the the charts. She is talking more and more everyday. Her newest favorite thing to say is, "mine." Yesterday Rylee was over playing with us and she had something Claire wanted. Claire told her, "no, mine" this is the first time she has put two words together. Pretty much everything is hers. She is a wild and crazy little miss. Today she took every single pot out of the cupboard as I was making dinner. She loves to read and she REALLY loves elmo. She loves to play outside, and is really obsessed with bees. She misses her dad and brother while they are at school and asks for them all day long. She loves to play with any sort of ball and loves her babies. Every time she hugs one she says, "oooooh" I am so happy to have her in our little family. We all love you little miss

My big girl went poop on the potty tonight. She was oh so proud of herself. When we flushed it down she said bye-bye. Every time we ask her about it she says, "Bye-Bye."

Claire Says.........

Claire has started talking so much in the last couple of months. She is a crack up. Here are a few funny things she has done lately.
We walked into Grandma Melissa's house the other day and Claire says, "heloo, heloo grama heloo. It was possibly the cutest thing ever. To bad there was no one there to hear her.
When ever she acts like she is going to call someone I ask her who she is talking to. Her answer is always Drix. She has finally started saying hdrix.
The other day her Dad was playing with her, she handed him the remote and said "elmo." She really likes watching sesame street.
She is just growing up way to fast. Some of her words are grama = Grandma
grapa = Grandpa
bubbles. she says this one clear as day
wawa = water
ice= ice or rice
wawa also means Rylee
heloo = hello
ookie = cookie
ba = binki
anna, who she loves dearly and she will go to the computer and repeat her name over and over. We talk to Anna a lot on skype and Claire thinks that is wonderful.
She is such a funny little girl. She will be so excited when grama and grapa get home along with her Aunt Amy. She will be loved for a couple of days after the boys go to school, after that I am in trouble!!!

No Fear.......

This little girl has no fear. If she wants to do something she is going to do it whether anyone is there to help her or not. We go to the school to play most nights so she can get some energy out. She will run and climb and not stop. I can only handle it for about 10 minutes before I make her get off. She thinks she is so big. She has mastered climbing up the slide by herself. she likes to hang from the monkey bars and she likes to go down the slide. When we were at bear lake she just jumped in the water up to her neck with no thoughts at all and was mad when we made her get out. I am not sure where she got her adventuresome behavior, cause it certainly was not from her mother!!

Claire and Hendrix had fun in the tub! Claire was really into the bubbles. She would blow them and sometimes eat them.

I have a diva on my hands

So a couple of weeks ago my sister did a post about us girls and who was the biggest diva. Marcie won that contest hands down, but I think we may have someone else in the running. Her name would be Claire! She thought she was so funny putting on my sunglasses so here are a few pictures! She is one in charge baby. She will scream at you if you are bugging her or sometimes just for the fun of screaming. She will tell you no,no,no,no,no if she doesn't like what you are doing. She is growing so much. Time just goes by so fast. Summer is almost over and I don't know what we are going to do once the boys go back to school. She is going to be so bored. I will have to find some play groups or start one of my own or something. It has been so much fun to watch her and Wes grow and all of the other little ones too.

Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks. Claire jumped on my mom's tramp for the first time and LOVED it. She is talking more and more on her terms of course. She is the princess and has knocked Rylee off of the thrown! She still loves to be outside playing in the hose or in the dirt or with the bugs. She helped my Dad in the garden last night and helped him weed. She is a funny little miss. She loves her Popsicles and icecream. She loves to eat and almost always has some sort of snack in her hand. We have had so much fun this summer. We are going to have some serious withdrawals when the boys go back to school.

Fun in the Sun

Outside is probably Claire's favorite place to be. She will stand by the door early in the morning wanting to go out. We spend most of our days (when it isn't raining) outside. A couple of days ago we went on a hike and she was in HEAVEN!!! She found dandelions galore and wanted to pick all of them. At one point I counted and she had 28 in one hand. She loves putting everything in one hand and will fit as many of whatever it is she has in that hand! She also loves finding bugs and squishing them. She chases the ants and potato bugs all over the yard.
She is talking more and more everyday. She loves to wave her finger and say no,no,no! She says yogi all of the time too. She will also come and stand by the computer and say Anna, Anna, Anna. Anna I think she likes you! She also loves that her dad is home all summer. She has him wrapped around his little finger!
She had her 15 month check up and she is now 21.9 pounds and 31 inches. The Dr. says she looks great. They get so big so fast!

I'm leaving on a jet plane.........

I am taking Claire on her first airplane ride tomorrow morning. We are going to visit her cousin Piper for the first time. We are so excited to meet this sweet little thing. We will be gone until Saturday. Hopefully she will do okay on the flight and I am glad it isn't a long one!!! Thank goodness grandma Melissa is coming with us. We will also get to visit with Jenny and the boys as well with Great Grandpa!
Yesterday we were at Grandma Melissa's and Claire found the cupboard with the pans. She is obsessed with all things cooked and that they are hot. When she opened the door she said "hot, hot" then proceeded to blow to cool it off. It was probably one of the funniest things she has done yet!

My first Ouchie!

Here are some pictures of Claire's first real big ouch! She got this while we were hiking in Zions. James was trying to get her out of the pack and she fell out. She got scratched by a stick. She was not a very happy camper so we took her down before the hike was over. When we got to the bottom she insisted on walking but wanted to be on the asphalt path, where she tripped again and hit her head on the path! So needless to say she got icecream for lunch (that was all we could get her to eat) and that made her happy!

Small Feet!

So I have been looking for a pair of shoes with the hard soles for Claire. It has about killed me. She is just in a size three with very narrow feet. I went to every store I could think of that would sell baby shoes. Payless pretty much only sells wide baby shoes. Most stores must sell out of the small sizes first I guess. So I ended up at Dillards and found a pair in her size. It only cost me 26 bucks for her. Man that is more than I pay for most of my shoes. I am pretty sure Claire is worth it though! She loves to wear them and carries them around. She is a little wobbly in them, but she does pretty good. As soon as I find my camera I will take a picture of them, until then here are some of her in her Easter dress!

Time flies........

My baby is not a baby anymore!!! I can't believe she is already 1. Time sure goes by fast with these little ones. We had her birthday party on Saturday. We had a bbq in the snow and everyone from both sides came to the shop. The food was delicious, the company was great! Claire loved opening the presents and then giving them a love whether it was clothes or a doll!! She wasn't quite sure about the cake. She did not like the frosting on her hands!
